Album notes on HOME

The album HOME is mostly about being away from home - dreaming and yearning of that familiar comfort. This homebrewed collection of songs mixes acoustic and electric guitars, a variety of percussive instruments - and other various instruments - into a bluesy/Americana journal. Several of the songs talk about traveling down various roads, while the song,Townes, Jesus, and Me (at the Gold Rush) is set in Nashville on Christmas Eve at the bar the Gold Rush where a lit photo of Townes Van Zandt looks down from the wall behind the bar. Flood is a blues song about the 93' flood along the Mississippi River in the town of Alton, IL. (where my family called home for a few years when growing up), and X-Mas Morn is a song inspired by the documentary, Prison Through Tomorrow's Eyes - about the the California prison system - and set out in the desolation of the California desert. This album was recorded in various bedrooms from Nashville to Southern California and finished after many miles had been traveled. See you down the road.
